Property owners lose rights

If ever someone needed incontrovertible evidence that private-property rights are dead for Florida, in general, and Volusia County, in particular, the Sept. 15 article "State: Volusia went against own rules," is definitely it. We see two government bureaucracies squabbling over what a rightful property owner can be allowed to do.
The only "rights" the governments see fit to grant us is to follow their edicts, pay endless fees and property taxes, and they'll certainly be back if you still manage to make a profit.
Ironically, in the Opinion section of the same issue is John Stossel's commentary: "Unnecessary Barriers/How bureaucracy kills free enterprise."
