EDGEWATER — The city could soon see a surge of development from the riverside all the way west of the interstate.
On tap for Monday's City Council meeting is an agenda packed with neighborhood requests. From Miami Corporation's Cornerstone at Deering Park — the first mixed-use subdivision expected to launch a housing boom west of Interstate 95 — to a 28-acre, 125-unit residential neighborhood steps from the Indian River, City Council's approval could pave the way for a residential surge throughout Edgewater.
Additionally, city leaders are also expected to conduct a second and final vote on whether to raise police, fire and emergency management, parks, utilities and transportation impact fees.
